private comission [built] ● évora, portugal ● architecture jpqueiroga ● the advanced degradation of the pre-existing stairs lead to their demolition. a blade of pigmented concrete, which replaces the lost support, is offseted from the alignment of the balcony to allow easy concreting. the tank solves the slope of the route and defines an exterior hall. the yellow blade falls inside the tank – for pleasure – to improve the proportion of the composition. water, in the alentejo [and mexico by analogy], cools the air and is for contemplation.
